About

Handmade ceramics inspired by the ocean,
crafted on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Coast & Clay is a one-person studio where each piece is designed to bring joy to everyday moments. Pieces are created in small batches, focusing on practicality and ocean-inspired details.

How Coast & Clay started

My care for conservation grew from time spent at the beach and noticing the impact people have on our oceans.

A turtle found with plastic in its stomach was a turning point, and became the reason behind Coast & Clay.

I work from my home studio in Mona Vale, throwing and hand-building each piece, then carving and glazing by hand.

Giving Back

Ocean care is at the core of what I do. I donate a portion of profits to ocean conservation organisations & often clean-up litter from the beach.

Charities I support include Take 3 for the Sea, Surfrider Foundation, and the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

How I Work

I use eco-friendly materials, recycle my clay and water, and keep production small to minimise waste.

Each piece is unique, intended to be used and loved for years — not just displayed on a shelf. I create ceramics that not only feel nice to hold, but also do something good for the planet.
